The UNINAVARRA graduate will be a person with an autonomous life project and with a view to personal and social growth. For this, the UNINAVARRA graduate must be:

The nursing professional will be able to work at local, regional, national and international levels in health promotion companies (EPS), health service provider institutions (IPS), management, surveillance and control institutions such as health secretariats, Ministry of Social Protection, Superintendence, National Institute of Health, educational institutions at basic level, higher education, formal and non-formal education centers for preschool, school, adolescents, adults, elderly and people with disabilities, governmental and non-governmental organizations, service companies and productive level at dependent or independent level, among others.

Participation in the First National and International Congress of the Colombian Network of Nursing Process and Standardized Language.
The Navarra University Foundation - UNINAVARRA proudly celebrates the participation of our students and teachers in the I National and International Congress of the Colombian Network of Nursing Process and Standardized Language, held on September 25 and 26, 2025 in the city of Medellin, under the organization of the CES University.

This scenario allowed our representatives to share research advances, strengthen academic dialogue and contribute to the empowerment of standardized language in nursing care, together with national and international experts.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Colombian Network of Nursing Process and Standardized Language, CES University and the organizers for promoting this meeting of such a high academic level that strengthens nursing research in Colombia and the world.
Beginning of Clinical Training Internships
The Navarra University Foundation - UNINAVARRA continues to consolidate its commitment to the comprehensive training and excellence of its students. On this occasion, students of semesters IV, V, VI, VII and VIII of the Nursing Program began their clinical training practices at the Hospital San Rafael del Espinal (Tolima), an academic space of great relevance that will allow them to strengthen their professional skills in real health care scenarios.
During this process, our future professionals will have the opportunity to articulate the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom with clinical practice, developing skills in comprehensive patient care, the application of biosafety protocols, interdisciplinary work and decision making under ethical and humanistic principles.
With these experiences, UNINAVARRA reaffirms its mission to train highly qualified nurses, with social vision and capacity to face the challenges of the health sector at the local, regional and national levels.
Symbol Imposition Ceremony 2025-2
With deep pride, our fifth semester Nursing program students participated in the solemn ceremony of Imposition of Symbols, an act that marks the beginning of a decisive stage in their professional training.
The cap, the plaque and the lit lamp represent not only tradition, but also the ethical, human and academic commitment that each student assumes in the service of health and the welfare of society. This memorable moment reaffirms UNINAVARRA's mission to train professionals with integrity, vocation and responsibility, prepared to face the challenges of health care with empathy and excellence.
Excellent participation in research event
UNINAVARRA is pleased to share the outstanding participation of the students of the Nursing Program at the IV Health Research Meeting: Nursing Care in Oncology "Caring for health at every stage".organized by the Universidad Antonio Nariño and held in the city of Neiva. This event brought together various institutions with the purpose of promoting the analysis, reflection and exchange of knowledge about nursing care in oncological contexts.
On this occasion, the students Laura Camila Bermeo Ortiz, Laura Valentina Rodríguez Perdomo, Juan David Castañeda Cardozo y Darwin Andrés Sáenz Laguado obtained the first place with the research work entitled "Nurse's perception of their role in accompanying families with chronically ill patients".developed under the supervision of the teacher Leonardo Sanchez. The active participation of other students of the program, who demonstrated a high level of commitment, professional vocation and academic excellence in this relevant space of research training, is also highlighted.
Healthy Lifestyle Week
On September 27, 2024, at the invitation of the Carmen Emilia Ospina ESE, we participated in the "Healthy Lifestyle Habits Week."held at the headquarters of the Mayor's Office of the municipality of Neiva. In this event, students of III and VIII semester addressed the issue of healthy eating, in addition to performing nutritional assessments and stratification of cardiovascular and metabolic risk. This type of activities contribute significantly to the strengthening of the integral education promoted by UNINAVARRA.

We have an Internationalization Policy "UNINAVARRA FACING THE WORLD"which aims to offer the academic community a bridge between the local environment and the globalized world. Through its lines of action, it provides opportunities for interaction with the national and international environment in classroom and online mode, where you can live training experiences in other contexts, interact with people from different cultures, learn about the global dynamics and its social, cultural, economic, environmental changes, among others; enhance your career with national and international projection and strengthen your training as a global professional and citizen of the world.
Lines of action and opportunities:
- International Cooperation Management: Agreements, alliances, joint projects and networking with more than 200 institutions from different countries around the world such as Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Spain, United States, Italy, Mexico, Peru, among others.
- Academic Mobility Management: Student exchange opportunities during one or two academic periods throughout the development of the student's academic program in different types of mobility such as: academic exchange (taking subjects), short course, internship, practicum, medical rotation, mission, research stay, observership and degree modalities. Teaching mobility as national and foreign visiting professors in your classroom.
- Multiculturalism and Multilingualism Management: Activities that contribute to the development of intercultural competencies and communicative competence in a foreign language, mainly English as a universal language.
- Management of the Internationalization of the Curriculum: Joint classes with other institutions through mirror class methodology or COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning).
