    Presentation of the program

    The specialization in University Teaching develops the skills required by today's university teacher, guaranteeing learning environments that make possible an updated and solid conceptual structure about the field of higher education, allowing the teacher to guide, accompany and formulate educational programs in accordance with national and international trends about university teaching in the context of the socio-cultural reality of the country.

    Mission

    The program's mission is to train specialists in university teaching with a solid qualification in university pedagogy and didactics, where critical, reflective, argumentative and investigative thinking prevails, allowing the teacher to signify or resignify their pedagogical-didactic practices in the face of unique, changing, complex and uncertain situations that make up the life of the university classroom and thus have a positive impact on the training of university students in the various professions or disciplines.

    Vision

    The vision of the program is to train professional specialists with integrity, who incorporate ethics in their practices. University teaching as the protagonist and articulator of the training processes at the professional level, must ensure that teaching and learning facilitate the use of tools and technologies within the framework of teaching, pedagogical practices and evaluation processes according to the requirements of the different areas of knowledge and the needs of the context.

    Professional Profile

    The specialist in University Teaching will identify the main training trends in higher education, at international and national level, will know the current approaches to university learning, appropriating strategies and techniques that promote autonomous, meaningful, reflective and cooperative learning in higher education students.

    They will also acquire the skills to plan the university teaching process in a conscious and reflective manner, selecting teaching strategies and techniques in accordance with the disciplinary contents and the main technological mediations, derived from the ICT proposals, in order to appropriate a discourse that will support a technological Didactics.

    Also, it will recognize the current meaning of learning assessment in the university classroom and will identify the main techniques and instruments, according to the forms of participation according to the evaluative actors (Hetero-evaluation, co-evaluation and self-evaluation).

    Finally, he/she will be able to practice university teaching, within the Colombian contextual, political, social and cultural reality and within the post-conflict scenario and the construction of peace scenarios.

    Occupational Profile

    The specialist in University Teaching will be able to develop the following actions in both private and public higher education institutions:
    - Evaluate, build and develop pedagogical-didactic intervention programs for the teaching of professions and disciplines, in disciplinary teams and in technological institutions and Universities, at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
    - Guide or accompany the re-construction of teaching programs, designing methodological constructions in accordance with the conceptual and methodological developments addressed in the specialization and the national and international trends regarding university teaching and the socio-cultural reality of the country (Post-conflict).
    - Identify problem areas from which to develop, in an interdisciplinary and collective manner, research processes around university education as a field of current development, both nationally and internationally.
    - To replicate in his institution and in those that demand him (as a multiplier) an updated and solid conceptual structure about the field of pedagogy and university didactics, identifying the components and essential dimensions of the disciplines: object of study, approaches, theories, methods; that overcome an instrumental, algorithmic and homogenizing look.

    The program has the following degree modalities established and approved for the Specialization in University Teaching program.
    In order to obtain the title of Specialist, in addition to the requirements established in the Postgraduate Regulations, the student must develop and present a written paper or a graduate work.
    The writings or works defined in the aforementioned regulations are:
    a) Construction of a research project approved by CIINA's Ethics/Bioethics and Scientific Committee for Research and Innovation.
    b) Scientific articles submitted for publication as results of research projects in progress at UNINAVARRA and in accordance with the postgraduate course he/she is pursuing.
