The High Complexity Simulated University Hospital - HUSAC at Fundación Universitaria Navarra - UNINAVARRA, is a high technology center equipped with comprehensive scenarios that allow training, retraining and development of the skills required in medical practice, as well as in the competencies of other health science professionals or future professionals, and even other professions that in a real context, are directly or indirectly related to this type of health service providers.
That is why the Simulated University Hospital is a center with an interdisciplinary and interprofessional approach in order to provide a better and more complete educational experience in different pathological complexities that affect the human being, starting from its sudden onset, assistance, intervention, to the patient's stable rest at home. This experience has been designed not only for students, professionals, specialists, subspecialists, Fellows in the field of medicine, but also for various actors associated with their daily activities, such as health care institutions, the medical industry, research centers, and all the people directly or indirectly linked to their activity.
With the advent of contingency measures for the pandemic caused by COVID-19, the High Complexity Simulated University Hospital - HUSAC, was a fundamental tool that developed methodologies and used its own digital resources to ensure the continuity of quality education for students within the framework of safety, training in biosecurity protocols and training in the management of patients with respiratory symptoms. Today, when despite the massive vaccination the health crisis has not been completely overcome, the High Complexity Simulated University Hospital - HUSAC is proud to have contributed to public health and to have generated an institutional culture of prospective, interdisciplinary and interprofessional simulation-based learning of high fidelity.
