Description: This publication is part of the project "Implementation of strategies to promote the culture of social appropriation of knowledge in the protection and conservation of birds in the department of Huila", funded by the General System of Royalties (SGR) and executed by the University Foundation Navarra. The book brings together 24 educational strategies aimed at the protection of local avifauna, developed within the framework of the Network of Children Birdwatchers of Huila, which involves young people from 12 municipalities in the department.
Among the initiatives highlighted are artistic activities inspired by the "Children's guide to bird watching in Huila", which stimulated children's understanding and creativity. The book also documents the network's participation in national and international events, highlighting the relevance of environmental education and ecotourism as pillars for bird conservation in the region.
