UNINAVARRA held successful press conference on innovation, research and institutional projection
On November 18, 2025, UNINAVARRA held a press conference in which it presented to the regional media -Huila TV, Diario La Nación and Opanoticias- the main institutional advances in innovation, research, clinical simulation and technological development. During the meeting, the directors highlighted how the institution has consolidated itself as an academic reference in the south of the country thanks to high impact events such as the IV World Congress of Medical Simulation - VIII International Congress of Innovation and Research UNINAVARRA - VIII CIII-2025 “Metaverso”, an event that took place from November 5 to 7, a scenario that strengthens the national and international projection of the university and attracts strategic alliances with research centers and experts from different parts of the world.
One of the central points was UNINAVARRA's commitment to the metaverse and emerging technologies as transformative tools for the education of the future. The work carried out by the institution in the development of the UNINAVARRA Metaverse was socialized, as well as its integration in the training processes through immersive scenarios that strengthen the clinical and technological competencies of the students. Likewise, the role of the HUSAC - High Complexity Simulated University Hospital, recognized for its high fidelity infrastructure and advanced technology, which has positioned UNINAVARRA as a regional leader in clinical simulation and innovative medical education, was highlighted.
During the press conference, they also discussed the solid practice scenarios that UNINAVARRA has throughout the country, thanks to strategic agreements with clinics, hospitals and high-level entities. These agreements allow our students to develop their training practices in real, safe and highly competent environments, strengthening their professional experience and ensuring a comprehensive training with high quality standards.
Finally, the directors presented the progress made in internationalization, entrepreneurship and high quality accreditation, reaffirming the institutional commitment to the development of human talent, the strengthening of the regional ecosystem and the training of professionals capable of leading scientific and technological solutions. The press conference concluded by highlighting the impact that these processes have on the development of Huila and the country, as well as the importance of strategic alliances and the active participation of the academic community in global challenges.
