The social projection of UNINAVARRA as the axis of university social responsibility.

The Navarra University Foundation - UNINAVARRA reaffirms its commitment to social transformation through social projection strategies that have a significant impact on different populations in the community. In this sense, the university social responsibility is consolidated as a fundamental pillar in the integral formation and in the construction of social fabric, promoting actions that transcend the academic field.

One of the most representative axes of this work is the UNINAVARRA Mayor program, framed within the UNINAVARRA Wisdom project. Through this initiative, three interventions have been developed that have benefited a total of
222 older adults. This project has focused on the integral strengthening of the cognitive, emotional and physical capacities of the participants through two main components:

Cognitive reactivation, which includes:

- Active and functional memory
- Attention and concentration training
- Creativity and innovative thinking in maturity
- Stress and anxiety management in old age
- Cognitive challenges for active aging

And the physical activation component, oriented to:

- Integral physical activation and strengthening of balance
- Vital movement: functional exercises for adults
- Application of the short physical performance battery
- Emotional recognition and regulation

These actions promote active, dignified and participatory aging, highlighting the value of the experience and knowledge of older adults.

On the other hand, the “My library is your library” axis, articulated with the Learn to Learn Project, is evidence of the institution's commitment to education and the strengthening of competencies in children and young people. This program has had a direct impact on 64 students from first to eleventh grade, through academic reinforcement structured by levels:

In primary education:

- Spanish Language: oral and written expression
- English: listening and speaking (listening and speaking)
- Mathematics: mastering basic expressions

In secondary education:

- Spanish: reading comprehension
- English: basic communication
- Mathematics: numerical thinking

These activities, developed at the university's facilities, strengthen fundamental learning skills, contributing to the improvement of academic performance and equitable access to educational opportunities.

Both initiatives reflect how UNINAVARRA articulates teaching, research and social projection to respond to the needs of the environment. In this way, the institution not only trains competent professionals, but also citizens committed to social reality, capable of generating positive changes in their communities.

In conclusion, UNINAVARRA's social projection is positioned as a key strategy for the fulfillment of its social responsibility, evidencing a real and measurable impact on vulnerable populations. These actions strengthen the link between the university and society, consolidating UNINAVARRA as an institution that educates with human sense, inclusion and social responsibility.
