The XVI UNINAVARRA Cup 2026 opened its doors to sport, inclusion, diversity and equity.
With a massive participation in its inaugural event, the Uninavarrista community kicked off a new edition of the “Amigos UNINAVARRA” Cup, a space that promotes equity, diversity and inclusion through sports.
A start that celebrated sports and integration
With enthusiasm, camaraderie and a remarkable attendance of the university community, the opening of the XVI UNINAVARRA Cup took place.
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion “Amigos UNINAVARRA” 2026, an event that brought together students, teachers, administrative staff and alumni around the same passion: sports as a tool for meeting and social construction.
The opening day took place at the University City, where the first sports matches were played to mark the beginning of this new edition of the Cup. Among the inaugural matches were the 8-a-side soccer match between Uninavarra Sport GYM and the Administrative team, as well as the exciting Beach Volleyball match between the Medicine and Nursing programs, competitions that brought together the attendees around sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Thirteen modalities that will bring the community together
During the development of the XVI UNINAVARRA 2026 Cup, about 400 athletes are expected to participate, who will compete in 13 modalities
The program reflects the diversity of disciplines and talents present in the institution.
Among the sports modalities that will be part of this edition are:
- Soccer
- Futsal
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Beach volleyball
- Taekwondo
- Kick Boxing
- Swimming
- Running
- Cycling
- Table tennis
- Field tennis
- Cheerleaders
Each of these disciplines becomes a stage to demonstrate talent, preparation and sportsmanship, while strengthening integration among members of the university community.
A space that celebrates diversity
Beyond the sporting results, the XVI UNINAVARRA Cup is projected as a space where diversity is celebrated and interpersonal relationships based on respect and empathy are strengthened.
Through sports, participants share experiences that allow them to build an inclusive environment, in which each discipline contributes to the common purpose of promoting coexistence, integration and peace within the community.

The University community, protagonist from the bleachers
The University Welfare and Alumni Office extended an invitation to the entire academic community to accompany and support their teams during the development of the XVI UNINAVARRA 2026 Cup. Students, teachers, administrative staff and alumni are called to live the sport also from the bleachers, encouraging the athletes and strengthening the spirit of institutional integration.
