Program Presentation
Chronic pain is a highly prevalent problem that involves not only the physical sphere of the patient, but also has social and health implications, due to the reduction in the quality of life that its inadequate management entails. The promotion of quality of life and pain control is a fundamental right, and to achieve this it is necessary to encourage professionals to acquire a higher level of competencies, i.e. knowledge and skills to comprehensively address the patient with chronic pain. The training must reach a broad group of competent professionals at different levels of training and committed to this health problem we are dealing with. As stated in Strategic Line 5, "to promote the transfer of knowledge on pain in all health professionals involved in pain care", this training activity has been designed to respond to the need to achieve a higher level of competence in the approach to pain management.
