Undoubtedly, social networks such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, among others, have allowed us to be globally connected through instant communication with people in other latitudes. However, there are many risks that arise in these communication processes. On this occasion, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Research and Social Projection Group DIÁLOGOS and CIINA, question the forms of violence that can occur with the use of new technologies, and what are the consequences and impacts that can generate online gender violence against women, girls and adolescents.
Target
To generate a space of participation for reflection and discussion of the forms of violence that can occur with the use of new technologies, and what are the consequences and impacts that can generate online gender-based violence against women, girls and adolescents. The above, in order to establish the challenges facing the academy in the face of this phenomenon.

ROSA DOMÍNGUEZ
PhD in Documentation from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain. Master in Documentation and Master in Media Research from the same university. She is a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers (SNI). She is currently a full time Professor-Researcher at the Colegio de Tamaulipas. She has written several books, articles in scientific journals and book chapters related to Information Policy, Digital Agenda in Mexico and cyber-violence in Tamaulipas.
CATALINA MORENO
Coordinator of the Social Inclusion Line of Karisma Foundation. She is a lawyer, with a specialization and master's degree in public law from Universidad de Los Andes. She is dedicated to human rights and social justice issues.
