The Industrial Engineering program continues to consolidate its position as a bridge between academia and industry, thanks to the outstanding results obtained during the Business Internships carried out this semester.

3 projects developed in key areas such as process optimization, continuous improvement, and HSEQ.
Active participation of our students in 3 national companies, applying theoretical knowledge in real environments.

On November 14 and 15, our institution hosted an academic event of international stature: the II International Congress on Innovation and Business Development, the II International Congress on Engineering and Industrial Transformation and the II International Congress on Research and Innovation in Environmental Sustainability.

Outstanding results :
More of 8 international trend-setting presentations on innovation, engineering and sustainability.
Participation of experts and academics from Mexico, Chile, Peru The participants shared their progress and proposals to face the global challenges.
600 registered attendees, including students, professors and professionals, who enriched the debates and practical workshops.
Innovative projects presented by students, strengthening the link between academia and the business sector.

With the purpose of strengthening the commitment and integration of its students, the School of Engineering, Architecture and Urban Planning held a reinduction day on August 5. This activity, which brought together students from the industrial engineering and environmental engineering programs, had as its main objective to renew the sense of belonging to the faculty and to update students on the policies, resources and services available.

From early hours, the Parque Navarra Campus was filled with energy with the presence of the students, who were welcomed by the program directors, who highlighted the importance of these spaces to maintain a solid and well-informed academic community. "The reinduction is not just a protocol; it is an opportunity for our students to connect with the university and be updated on the news that impact their academic life."

During the day, students participated in a series of talks that addressed key issues such as updating academic regulations, the use of new technological tools for learning, and the promotion of ethical values in professional training.

The day also included the presentation of services where students were able to interact with representatives of various processes of the institution, such as International Cooperation and Academic Management. This space allowed the attendees to learn first hand about the opportunities and benefits that the institution offers to complement their academic training.

With this activity, the School of Engineering, Architecture and Urban Planning reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence and the integral formation of its students, promoting a dynamic and constantly evolving educational environment. The faculty will continue to promote this type of initiatives to ensure that its academic community is prepared to face the challenges of the future.

We are proud to present the project Mathematics in 3D: From Algebra to Realityan innovative initiative designed for tenth-grade students at the Intitution Educativa El Limonar . This project aims at integrating advanced mathematical concepts with the technology of 3D printing The program allows students to transform abstract knowledge into tangible and meaningful models.

Throughout this experience, the students apply concepts from geometry, algebra and trigonometry to design and fabricate three-dimensional models that represent complex mathematical principles. This hands-on approach not only strengthens their mathematical skills, but also develops their creativity and understanding of technology.

We congratulate all the students who participated in this project, demonstrating how innovation and education can come together to transform learning. With "Mathematics in 3D", we take a step towards teaching mathematics in an interactive and future-oriented way.

Industrial Engineering students of UNINAVARRA continue to demonstrate that collaboration between disciplines is key to facing real-world challenges. Through their internships at the High Complexity Simulated University Hospital, they have worked hand in hand with healthcare teams, analyzing and optimizing hospital processes, from equipment maintenance to the efficient management of resources.

Thanks to their focus on continuous improvement and innovation, they have been able to provide solutions that directly impact patient quality and safety, all in a simulated environment that replicates the challenges of a highly complex hospital!

The School of Engineering, Architecture and Urbanism successfully celebrated the Day of the Engineer, a day marked by the recognition of the work and impact that engineers have on society, to this event, they brought together students, professors and alumni.

The celebration began with an emotional welcome at the Parque Navarra Headquarters, where the Director of the Environmental Engineering program gave an inaugural speech. In her words, she stressed the importance of engineering in building a sustainable and resilient future. "Engineers are the architects of tomorrow, and today we celebrate not only their technical skill, but also their vision to transform the region into a better place."

The event concluded with a sharing in which students, professors and alumni shared experiences and reflected on the challenges and opportunities facing engineering today. "To celebrate Engineer's Day is to celebrate the ability to create, innovate and contribute to the welfare of society."

With this celebration, the School of Engineering, Architecture and Urbanism reaffirms its commitment to the formation of integral professionals, capable of leading innovative projects that respond to the needs of the contemporary world. The faculty will continue to promote spaces for meeting and reflection to strengthen the ties between academia, industry and society.

IV National Congress of Family Medicine, SOCMEF

Residents and teachers of the specialization in family medicine of the Navarra-UNINAVARRA university foundation participated in the IV national congress of family medicine organized by the Colombian Society of Family Medicine (SOCMEF).

This event was held on September 19, 20 and 21, 2024 in the city of Bogota. The event was attended by all the specialization programs at national level and more than 450 people attended in person and by virtual modality. It was an important event to know the state of the art of family medicine in the country, from the legal, labor, scientific, human talent training and future perspectives.

Both residents and professors had the opportunity to meet with colleagues, create links with other universities and be present in all the activities carried out.
