a) Identification of sponsors and godparents: pThis will take into account the professionals who support the different processes of the Institution and must have the following characteristics.

  • Determination of the profile; professional, as far as possible in the area to be oriented.
  • Facilitating agent in the academic processes of his or her godchild.
  • Channeling of the communicative processes between the sponsored child and the institution.
  • Verifier of the conditions or processes carried out by each one of its sponsees.
  • Communicator of experiences through examples.
  • Promote in students agents of change in their academic activities.

 b) Godfathers and Godmothers

  • Dedication: lhe Rector's Office will determine the number of hours that will be assigned within their working days to each of the sponsors to develop the activities set by the strategies and the respective follow-up to each one of them proposed to their godchildren.
  • Strategies: each sponsor will establish how each of his or her godchildren will take part in the activities proposed by strategy according to each case.
  • Action plan: according to the conditions found in each one of the sponsored children, the sponsor will be able to decide according to his autonomy and support methodology, the way in which he will orient his sponsored children, this can be generalized or individual, according to the conditions detected in his sponsored population.
  • Follow-up and control of godchildren: sAccording to what is established in his or her action plan, the sponsor must carry out the individual follow-up of his or her godchildren taking into account two moments, which he or she must always record.
  • Attention register: where it determines the matter discussed and the commitments acquired duly endorsed with the godchild.
  • Citation: This must be done formally via email, and in case of non-attendance, under penalty of informing the respective guardian. In case of reluctance on the part of the student, the situation must be reported immediately to the Welfare Office.
  • Report: where the systematization and results of the follow-up of the whole process will be recorded, and will be consistent with the tasks established in the respective action plans.
  • Follow-up and control of sponsors: eThis will have particular timing considerations which will be determined by the respective opportunity.
  • Verification: On a monthly basis, the Welfare Department will consolidate the information reported by the godparents, which will be compared according to the action plan presented, the records submitted, the report and the evidence presented for each godchild.
  • Each sponsor will determine according to his or her condition a special schedule to dedicate to his or her godchildren. This must be arranged, socialized and communicated.
  • Sponsor training: In order to standardize the accompaniment processes that sponsors must carry out with their respective godchildren, the welfare department will provide, through workshops, documents, presentations and other means, the methods or particularities that must be taken into account at the time of addressing the treatment of particular issues. These activities will be of obligatory attendance, and for this purpose a schedule will be available during the working day.

c) Designation of godchildren (das): se maintain the distributions contemplated in previous periods, new sponsors and godchildren are reassigned as appropriate according to the conditions or circumstances that may arise, such as the withdrawal of collaborators or students. The new assignments will be random and only in special situations will they be reassigned.

d) Socialization of godparents to godchildren (da): cach sponsor contacts his or her godchildren and coordinates the weekly meeting schedules. At the first meeting they must characterize a name of a representative character who has made important contributions to academia, science, art or humanity. This name should be chosen among godparents and godchildren. Likewise, each sponsor will propose to his or her godchildren a value proposition for belonging to the group and, as a commitment, will state his or her motivation to accompany them in the process. (This action is optional).

e) Follow-up, evaluation and control of the general plan: lhe consolidation of the monthly reports is the responsibility of the Welfare Office, which has as input each of the reports submitted by the sponsors and submits them to the Rector's Office every two months.

The indicators that validate and verify the information have to do with the measurement of the following factors

  • Number of students enrolled (das) / Total number of students enrolled (das).
  • Total number of sponsored students (das) / Number of sponsored students (das) per partner at risk.
  • Number of students served (das) by support programs / Total number of students enrolled (das).
  • Number of students who stop enrolling per semester / Total number of students enrolled (das) in the previous period.
