The continuous work in favor of sustainability placed the Fundación Universitaria Navarra - UNINAVARRA, in the 2023 version of the list of the international organization Green Metric as one of the higher education institutions that strengthen collective processes in favor of sustainability and the environment in the world.

This is the World University Rankings, an annual categorization that evaluates the actions undertaken within the company and with components of environment and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transportation, education and development.

This is the first time that UNINAVARRA applies for this measurement, with the resolution of a demanding questionnaire supported by evidence, as a self-evaluation in order to establish a diagnosis of how it is performing in this field.

This application was supported by the Uninavarra campus management, Dorección of the environmental engineering program and HSE coordination, CIINA management and other processes, which gathered updated information on the aforementioned criteria.

"It is an achievement for UNINAVARRA, a diagnosis of what is being done and a proposal of challenges for the next term," adds the office, based on the result that places UNINAVARRA in position 735 among 1183 global education institutions, and 38th in Colombia.

GreenMetric is a University of Indonesia initiative launched in 2010, which aims to provide the result of an online survey on the current status and policies related to Green Campuses and Sustainability at universities worldwide.

The GreenMetric international sustainability ranking reflects UNINAVARRA's efforts to implement actions to mitigate environmental impacts, such as reducing the consumption of natural resources and comprehensive waste management, among other fundamental aspects of sustainability.
