SAFETY, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM POLICY

 

 

The Safety, Occupational Health and Environment policy of the Navarra University Foundation is defined as follows:

The NAVARRA UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION - UNINAVARRAAs a Higher Education Institution, aware of the importance of the welfare of its employees regardless of their form of hiring, including contractors, subcontractors and other stakeholders, is committed to ensuring safe and environmentally sustainable work environments, in order to prevent accidents and incidents of work and occupational diseases and adverse environmental impacts, complying with the legal requirements established in the Colombian legislation and others that the organization subscribes, in relation to safety, occupational health and environment. Identifying the hazards and environmental aspects generated by the activities; evaluating and assessing the risks and environmental impacts with their respective controls, the promotion and active participation of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee.

With the commitment and responsibility to continuously improve the performance of the Safety Management System, Occupational Health and Environmental Management System. Guaranteeing the availability of human, technological and financial resources required; therefore, we encourage in our collaborators the culture of self-care, through training programs, induction and training in the different activities in order to provide safe conditions during their stay in our facilities.

This policy is communicated to all employees and stakeholders of the institution.

OBJECTIVES OF THE SST

  • Ensure safe and environmentally sustainable work environments.
  • Ensure that employees are in positions that they can perform according to their physical and psychological aptitudes.
  • Strengthen the culture of Occupational Health and Safety by promoting the commitment and leadership of all workers and contractors.
  • Comply with current legislation and other applicable regulations.
  • Identify, evaluate and control the different risk factors and hazards affecting the health and safety of workers.
  • Implement epidemiological surveillance systems for risk factors that may cause occupational disease in exposed workers.
  • To develop activities for the prevention of occupational diseases and accidents at work.

ALCOHOL, DRUG AND TOBACCO PREVENTION POLICY

 

 

The NAVARRA UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION - UNINAVARRA as a Higher Education Institution, is committed to preserve, maintain and protect the health of our employees and the environment, therefore, in compliance with current legislation sets the following policy:

* To train and socialize employees on the harm that the consumption of alcohol, tobacco and psychoactive substances causes to people's health.

* Do not allow an employee to enter the Foundation's facilities to perform his/her work activities if there is suspicion that he/she is under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

* Allocate the human, physical and financial resources necessary for the implementation of prevention programs.

* It is the responsibility of each Uninavarra employee to ensure that he/she is not under the influence of alcohol, smoking and/or drug addiction that may negatively influence his/her behavior within the facilities. Those who are in the aforementioned states will be subject to the provisions of the Institution.

* The possession, consumption and sale of alcohol, cigarettes, cigarettes, cigarettes, cigarettes and alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.
