Program Presentation
The Diploma in Epidemiology with disciplinary emphasis in Research relates the topics on the use of epidemiological practices for clinical, community and social decision making, covering strategies to measure the frequency of events of interest in public health, research and their consequences in different population groups; the presence or absence of entities that affect the community or the individual and the probability or not of suffering from such entity, in addition to recognizing systematic errors when making observations as well as clinical and epidemiological measurements; and the different ways that can be used to control them and try to establish the relationship of possible causal associations between the diagnostic methods and the prognosis of the different clinical situations. Therefore, the models that explain the health-disease process with the main factors that allow locating public health from the economic, social, political and cultural spheres are taken into account in this diploma course.
